The nose is expressive, with notes of ripe black fruits, freshly ground black pepper, violet, and a smoky hint that evokes garrigue and warm earth. On the palate, the attack is frank and velvety, with beautiful body. The tannins are present but elegant, and the finish stretches with nuances of licorice and wild berries.

Food and Wine Pairings:
Ideal for enhancing a grilled rib-eye steak, duck breast with figs, lamb tagine, or even game terrine. It can also shine as an accompaniment to a platter of mature cheeses or a spicy vegetarian dish.

The Estate:
Located in the Corbières region, facing the Mediterranean, Château Bel Évêque is owned by Pierre Richard. Growing on a clay-limestone terroir swept by sea winds, the Syrah grapes express themselves here with depth and brilliance.
