Neuchâtel – Pinot Gris – Keller Wines 2024

Grape variety: 100% Pinot Gris

Terroir: The Jurassic soils can vary (stony and light, sometimes marly and heavier, or even alluvial and deep) but all remain marked by limestone, which is always abundant. The soils' low nitrogen content, as well as their richness in various mineral salts, provides Boris and his team with an ideal raw material for producing great wines from "Little Burgundy", as the Neuchâtel vineyards are popularly called.

Viticulture: The grapes are grown using environmentally friendly methods (Vinatura Swiss standards), with limited yields and harvested manually once they reach ideal ripeness. Vinification is carried out in the traditional way for white wines, and aging is done exclusively in vats.

Tasting: The color is crystalline and light, a pale golden yellow. Harvested at perfect ripeness, this Pinot Gris is rich and complex. Its nose is marked by floral aromas and ripe but fresh white and yellow-fleshed fruits. The palate is balanced, neither too tight nor too rich, with a lovely hint of honey.

Food and Wine Pairings: Easy to drink and surprising, this wine is perfect as an aperitif and goes wonderfully with fish, white meats and cheeses.
