Geneva – Pinot Noir barrel, Côteaux de Dardagny 1er Cru – Domaine des Hutins 2021
Grape varieties: 100% Pinot Noir
Characteristics: The 2021 Pinot Noir Barrique from Domaine des Hutins, from the Coteaux de Dardagny 1er Cru, reveals a brilliant ruby color with garnet highlights. The nose is precise and expressive, blending aromas of black cherry, redcurrant and wild strawberry, supported by subtle notes of vanilla, cocoa and clove, brought by controlled barrel aging. On the palate, the attack is supple and elegant, with fine tannins and a beautiful acidic structure that gives energy and freshness to the wine. The overall result is harmonious, refined, with a long and slightly oaky finish, which underlines the nobility of the grape variety and the quality of the Geneva terroir.
Food Pairing: Pairs perfectly with veal fillet with morels, roast quail, mushroom risotto, or mature hard cheeses. Serve at 16°C after aerating gently.
The Estate: Located in Dardagny, in the heart of the Geneva vineyards, Domaine des Hutins is a family estate passionately run by the Dupraz family. The estate cultivates its vines organically and prides itself on expressing the purity of its terroirs. The plots, classified as Premier Cru, provide an ideal environment for Pinot Noir, a delicate grape variety that finds a rare elegance here. Aging in French oak barrels refines the structure without masking the fruit, for a balanced and distinguished style.
